About "Autodesk" Answer

What programming languages andcompilers are compatible withAutodesk 3DS Max 9?
I am an amateur video game maker, and I have some experience with Autodesk 3DS Max 9 Student Edition. I would like to make a first person game with Autodesk, but I need a programming language and a compiler that I can use with it. Please do not worry agout how easy the language is to use.
It depends heavily on what you mean. You can use Visual C++ to create plugins for 3ds max (Visual C++ Express 2008 is free, by the way). You can export objects and animations from 3ds max to DirectX format, which can be used by DirectX applications (in any language you choose).
How do you bend an object inmaya autodesk 2009?
I am trying to make a bendy drinking straw in maya autodesk. I can't figure it out and I am running out of time for the due date. I really need maya autodesk users help. PLEASE AND THANKS.
I would use the paint selection tool in the tool menu. Set your cylinder to 'vertex' by right clicking the object & dragging over to vertex. Then click the paint selection tool. Select the points from the point you want the bend to 'start' & on up. Grab the move tool & click and drag to 'bend' the selection. If you select all of the points completely around the cylinder, this should work. If not, go back & check to make sure you have selected all of the points. Good luck!
How to connect textures inhypershade in Autodesk Maya?
How to connect textures or nodes in hypershade in Autodesk Maya? Thank you very much
Depends on what you are doing exactly. What type of connection? Say you wanted to connect a texture to a shader node. Open the Attribute editor for the shader node, then in the hypershade, drag and drop the texture onto the color attribute of the shader node thaats open in he AE.. Drag and drop is the key point. Check the Documentation. It will show you.
