What budget airlines travel toMedan from Singapore? |
|
I need to know the budget
flights which goes to Medan,
Indonesia from Singapore. And
would like it if it's possible
to recommend me a hotel not
too expensive and not too
cheap, comfortable for at
least 4 days with custom
check-out time. Note, we are
not backpackers. Thanks! |
 |
There is no budget airline to
Medan. If you want the
cheapest mode to get there, go
by coach to Penang and and
take the ferry service to
Medan. There are many average
hotels in Medan and are not
expensive, about S$ 50 to S$
60 per night. Word of advice,
do not tell
the taxi that you are looking
for a hotel, because they
would make demand from the
hotel for a comission and your
hotel charges will be much
higher. I just can't recall
the names of several hotels
which are cheap and good. Try
to look through the hotel list
from the Yahoo's travel page
and you can get the address
and other details. |

How is the latest budget goingto affect me as a NewZealander? |
|
The budget was just released
in New Zealand and I've read
that I'm going to get $16 a
week back. I have a wife and
we are planning on having
children in the future. How
does this budget affect the
average kiwi like myself? |
 |
Well, I'm not sure how much
you earn but the breakdown is
like this:
If you earn under $14,000 you
will be taxed 2.5% less than
before.
If you earn up to $38,000 you
can receive another $2000 pay
rise and not have to pay any
tax on it.
If you earn up to $60,000 you
can receive a $10000 pay rise
and not have to pay any tax on
it.
These change after a few
years, but you sound like
you're mostly concerned about
the immediate impact.
There has also been a raise in
the Working for Families
allowance, so even though that
doesn't affect you now, if you
have children in the future
you will be better off
financially than if you had
them now.
Though it might not directly
affect your pocket, the Police
and the rail system have also
been given a boost in funding
so if you catch a train to
work or need the police for
some reason that helps you
too. |

Budget????? |
|
i've tried a million times and
i dont get how i should start
a budget.. im thinking about
everything that goes along
with a wedding and i cant
think of one thing at a time.
where do i begin to begin a
budget? do i write down
everything and put how much
they're gonna cost more? after
that though.. what if i cant
afford it all and who's
supposed to contribute and
what items do i assign to who? |
 |
Your first step is to figure
out how much TOTAL money you
have to work with on this
wedding. You can spend as
little as $100, and it can go
on up to over a million bucks
if you'd like, so budgets are
all over the place. Figure out
how much you and your fiance
can contribute to wedding
expenses, then go to each set
of parents, and find out what
(if anything) they can
contribute. Some parents may
feel more comfortable simply
writing you a check, and
saying "use this for wedding
expenses," and others may feel
better about paying for the
catering, or the flowers,
photography, etc. If either
parents want to simply pay for
one part of the wedding--get a
total figure from them on how
much they want to
spend--remember, you can spend
as much or as little on each
aspect of the wedding as you'd
like.
You don't assign anything to
anyone, you simply ask if
people would like to help with
your wedding expenses. And you
only ask parents, maybe
grandparents. However, if
Uncle Bob is a great
photographer, ask if he'd be
willing to take the photos
either as his wedding gift, or
give you a discount as his
wedding gift. Same if Aunt
Sally is a fantastic baker,
see if she'd be willing to
donate a wedding cake as her
gift.
Once you know the total amount
of $$ you have to work with,
then you can simply start
assigning percentages on each
part of the wedding expenses.
www.theknot.com has a great
wedding budgeter worksheet
that works great for this
purpose.
Good luck! |
