How can i make the images onmy cafepress products larger? |

When I make my cafepress
products,all of my images are
too small..How do I fallow a
temlate or make them larger? |

You must follow their
instructions to the letter. If
they recommend at least 300
dpi, do not make it any
smaller. The physical size is
equally important. That means
that the size of your art work
must be the physical size of
the template at the
recommended dpi. I have
several Cafe Press Stores. If
you only have a smaller image
dpi wise, the quality will not
be as good and the image will
be smaller. Use software such
as Adobe Photoshop. |

I read their terms ans
conditions and find it
confusing. I live in NY and if
any products from my shop are
sold to a person in NY do i
have to make sure NY gets
thier sales tax. And how do
you make sure your state gets
your income tax if it's not
deducted from your paycheck.
I'm really stupid when it
comes to all this and don't
wanna end up in jail or
something. I guess my main
question is does CafePress
handle the sales tax? |

CafePress does not pay sales
tax. It must collect the sales
tax from any purchaser that
lives in a state in which
CafePress has nexus to collect
the sales tax. For instance,
if CafePress sold a shirt to a
person in NY, and CP has nexus
in NY, then it must collect
sales tax on that sale.
However, if CP does not have
nexus, it does not have to
collect the sales tax, and the
responsibility is on the
purchaser to pay the use tax
to the state.
Now, since you live in NY, you
should pay income tax on the
payments to you from CafePress
on your federal and NY tax
returns. I believe that's a
Form 1040 Sch C item. |

I have 3 successful shops on
CafePress, so yes, people will
buy your things on there if
you create nice shops with
good/unique designs.. and
focus on your SEO etc... it
DOES take work. Basically, you
get back what you put into
it...
I have ordered "my" products,
I don't think they are poor
quality. The "Value" t-shirt
is thinner than the "White"
t-shirt, but that is to be
expected, and they clearly
tell you this on the product
page. The ceramic products are
gorgeous. In fact, they
recently replaced some of the
low-scoring apparel products
that got low customer ratings
with better quality items.
I suggest checking out the
Community Forums, they are a
LOAD of help for new
shopkeepers and give lots of
tips to build a successful
shop. |
