What's the best way to find acheap caribbean vacation? |
|
My mom and I want a chance to
get away for about 5-7 nights.
We'd love to do another
cruise, but we know it's hard
to find a cheap one. We've
also looked at all-inclusive
resorts, but those are pricey
too. Does anyone have any tips
as to where/what we should
go/do? We'd love some ideas.
Oh, and we plan on traveling
during the week of Easter, as
we think that weekend will be
rather dead (not spring break,
the week/weekend before it).
Thanks! |

orbitz.com
travelocity.com
Always factor in the
difference in cost between
AI's and cruises
That credit card bill can add
up fast on a cruise if your
not disciplined
Before you actually book go to
tripadivsor.com and check out
pictures of the hotel and some
decent trip reports
We go at least 3 times per
year for relaxation and scuba
and the above usually generate
the best fares/hotel combos |

|
I am wanting to travel to the
Caribbean, and am intersted in
finding some good cheap cities
to eat in. Anyone have any
recommendations? |

Most restaurants in Haiti are
cheap, even the fancy ones.
The French West Indies will be
expensive due to the Euro.
The Dominican Republican is
cheap and Cuba |

Cheap caribbean vacation forweek before Christmas? |
|
I'm trying to book a cheap
Caribbean vacation for two
(Bahamas, Virgin Islands, St.
Martin, DR, or Cancun, or
similar) for the week before
Christmas. When I get on the
websites, they advertise a
price, but as soon as I enter
my details (travel dates,
etc.) the price quadruples.
What am I doing wrong? I am
willing to fly back on
Christmas Eve or Christmas Day
-- I thought this would make
it cheaper but perhaps I am
wrong? What dates would make
it come up as the advertised
price? I can be flexible
(leaving anywhere between
December 16th and 20th, coming
back anywhere between 20th and
25th). Which
dates/destinations would give
me the best deals? Also, any
recommendations as to specific
destinations? Or places to
book other than the websites
that I have had the above
mentioned problems with? I
just want it to be simple!
Thanks :)
Well, when do you have to
return by for it to be
considered 'before Christmas.'
? I have tried the 23rd, 24th,
and 25th, but prices are
equally high on all 3 days |
 |
It depends on where you're
departing from and I'll see
what I can do to help.
I went to Barbados for about 2
weeks from Toronto for $675.00
CAD before Christmas in 2004.
So try to book flights
earlier, before they go up.
And remember, airfares change
everyday.
If you have a credit card, you
could always check
http://www.kayak.com/ although
I never used it - Because I
don't own a credit card but
I've used it to search. |
