About "CheapTrips" Answer

Has anyone been scammed bywww.cheaptrips.com orwww.aircourier.org?
I was just scammed by www.cheaptrips.com (a sister comapny of www.aircourier.org) and I am trying to get people together to stop them. Has anyone had similar experiences? please email me at toshiba8223@yahoo.com. You can see more on the scam at http://bewareoftravelscams.blo gspot.com/
I had a $1300 hotel bill charged to my account by hotwire.com after I cancelled it with hotwire according to their rules. The way to protect yourself when using these third party companies for trips, hotels, airfare, and car rental is t never sign on if they have a clause preventing you from seeking chargebacks through your credit card company. Almost every time you dispute any travel charge to your credit card account, it will be removed from your bill immediately. Scammers want you to believe you can give up that right. That is not true. You cannot be forced to do this.
Is the websiteaffordabletravel.org(affiliated w/cheaptrips)alegit operation?
www.affordabletravel.org is offering up to 85% off domestic and international flights? they are affiliated with CheapTrips and there is a $40 joining fee to take advatage of these offers. You need to give them all your info and become a member before you can view any of thier offers. They are able to offer such large discounts becaue they buy tickets at wholesale prices. Better Business Bureau gave them a poor review (compliants from people trying to rescind membership, mostly-but no comments from current members). any info would be greatly appreciated!
Sorry, I've never heard of them. It kind of sounds too good to be true. The fact that the BBB didn't give them a good review puts up a red flag for me. Personally, Cheap Tickets isn't really a good site either. I've heard a lot of people having major problems with this site. If I were you, I would look into the airline/hotel directly. You may spend a little more, put you could end up being better off. The fact that they don't let you see any of the details untlil you pay also bothers me a little. Maybe you could wait a little while and see if you can get some more reviews from users. I would wait to see how other people like them before I gave them any info.
has anyone tried flying withcheaptrips.com?
any comments? is it really reliable and are there any catches to the "too good to be true" ticket rates? i haven't heard of anyone who bought tickets in bt-store... it's also fairly cheap there..
How is it too good to be true?? They are usually fairly high there. Try looking at www.BT-Store.com, which is almost always the lowest. But for my money i like Philippine Airlines bcs they fly direct from LAX.
