How can I disconnect thefreezer from a full-sizefridge?
I have an old Kelvinator fridge with a compact freezer that doesn't have it's own thermostat. I have to keep defrosting it every 3 months or I can't close the plastic door. A few days ago that door finally broke off. Now I KNOW there is a way to disconnect it as someone did it where I used to work. What I'd like to know is, do I call an electrician or appliance repair to get it done? Older than dirt, that's funny. Ok what if I turn the temperature all the way down and find some way of fixing the inner door? I'm so poor I can't even pay attention, so getting another fridge at this point is impossible.
The freezer cools the rest of the refrigerator. There is no way to disconnect it. In fact without the door it will get colder in the refrigerator.
What are some good appliancestores with great prices?
I'm looking for a small compact refrigerator for my college dorm room..it can't be bigger than 4.5 cubic and me and my roommate prefer that there is a separate refrigerator/freezer. Thanks
