the Creative labs mp3 players
were never defective, there
was only 1 model that was, the
Creative Zen Micro, which has
since been discontinued.
I do not own a Zen Sleek,
sorry, but i want them 10
points (I only need like 30
more till i get to lvl 4), so
may i reccomend the Creative
Zen Vision: M, it has a bigger
screen, better controlls, and
plays video!! this will cost
ya 199.99 at Amazon.com and
Bestbuy.
I wrote a review for it on

comparing the zen to the ipod,
its a really good review. ill
copy any paste it (i swear its
mine, i wrote it)
First thing that came to mind
when looking at this player
is:
30 bucks more than ipod! whats
with that? but after hands on
experience, and lots of
reasearch, i come to think
that the extra 30 bucks is
well worth it.
for the 30 bucks more you can
charge your system with the
INCLUDED ac adapter (ipod does
not offer) and with the 30
dollars you get a pouch,
simaler than the one that
comes with the ipod, but one
of the biggest things it has
over the ipod, is simply,
Battery life. ipod gets a
rated of 3 hours (on
apple.com) of video, and
creative gets rated 4 hours
(on Creative.com) of video
playback i have not been able
to test this....yet, because i
simply do not watch many
videos on a 2.5 inch screen
but, is great for subway,
airplane, passenger of car,
and so on. and the last thing
i want state, FM tuner and FM
tuner Recording. Ever head a
good song on radio, and
consider buying the CD, but
fin most other songs on the CD
arent the best? This is for
you, tune in to your favorite
station, and press record when
you hear a good song, and
press END record after song is
over, and wallah you have a
free song :) it may not be the
best quality, but, as long is
there is no serious distortion
its all good.
NOW on to the acutal unit:
as you know, Apple Ipod
released a simaler design
about 2 months before
creative, apple clearly has a
head start.
Apples design is sleeker,
smaller, lighter, and (in my
opinion) better looking.
and for those of you who think
creative just plain out copied
Apple. THEY DIDNT. Apple
released iPod design and
whatnot about 1 month before
releasing it in stores. 1
month! SO lets say creative
wanted to copy iPod, They
would have to study the ipods
design, make the design
somewhat distinct, put
creative software into it,
build the inside of the unit,
and manufacture all the units,
and craetive a name,
advertise, and lots more in
less than 5 months, simply
put, IMPOSSIBLE no way they
could do that.

think i covered all the big
ones.
all in all
they both rule. if you want a
pupular styilsh device,
DEFINITLY go with the cheaper
iPod.
if you are more tworads
quality and custimization, go
for the zen vision: M

Spending more time with this
player i realize my review was
incorrect in several places:
1: the zen's batery life says
4 hours vid, but ive only
gotten 2.5, 3 hr tops. and
only 11-12 hrs for music.
Ive also found a bass problem,
its really weak unless you
ahve it on full blast volume
but then it's just too loud.
ive had it freeze up on me
more than it should. and when
i restart it it takes almost
10 min to reload my 20 gigs of
media...VERY ANNOYING.
perhaps they have fixed these
problems in the newer units, i
dont know because i bought
this when it first came out.

in my review, my review as
written almost a year ago, and
they have fixed some things
that i stated like:
The zen vision is NO LONGER 30
DOLLARS more than the ipod
