What should one prepare for atthe border crossings whendriving from California toNicaragua? |
|
Possible border crossings
include Belize, Honduras,
Guatemala, El Salvador,
Mexico, and clearly Nicaragua.
My boyfriend is making this
trip alone on motorcycle in a
few months, and the border
crossings are the parts he is
most concerned about. |
 |
My son did this trip but he
stopped at Costa Rica. You
want all the normal car
registration papers, and your
required documents for
yourself. He said that
patience is the key to the
entire process. It can take
all day to get through but if
one knows and accepts that it
could take all day then that
seemed to make it easier. They
aren't just picking on you
they're treating everybody in
this manner. |

Does Canada know about the
marriage?
If your husband doesn't have a
proper visa, he'll only be
issued a visitor visa and
he'll likely be sent back to
Mexico until you get the
proper paperwork done.
If you are driving from Mexico
to B.C., I wouldn't worry too
much about which border
crossing I'm going to take.
The rules are the same no
matter which one you use.
Drive the shortest route
possible and have copies of
your marriage
certificate,passports etc when
you cross. |

What do you think of a townremoving all of it's railroadcrossings and making peoplehave to drive longer? |
|
In the town of Belen, NM,
where the railyard is located,
they have recently removed all
of the railroad crossings thus
creating more dead end
streets. They built a bridge
allowing for passage over the
train tracks at one point
only. This has people driving
around for more miles to get
to the other side where
crossings used to be. |
 |
That sounds stupid.
Maybe they're planning to
build crossings at the other
points later. |
