Is Dell Canada still shippingXPS m1530 laptops withdefective nvidia graphicscard?
I bought a Dell XPS m1530 laptop on 10th October 2008 here in canada. I read the problems about the graphics card in Dell just today :( Is my nvidia 8600GT card likely to be a defective one? thanks in advance best answer gets the points!!!
The issue has been fixed by NVIDIA in the 9000 series. Most likely you will have the issue to the extent that it is an issue. There is a very good chance it will never impact you...
Anyone ever order a laptopfrom Dell in Canada?
I recently ordered a laptop in Ontario, Canada from Dell. (XPS M1530) Do you think it will include the goodies that Americans get (Carrying case, cleaning cloth, etc...) or only the notebook? I am wondering if I should start looking for a carrying case.
I bought an M1730 last year and there was no carrying case. The only extra was a cleaning cloth.

I had ordered my PC** from Dell too, But i live in Hong Kong... they only took 1 week exactly for mine. And i got it nicely packed and stuff. Wasn't too hard for me to read the Guide notes with it to install and get started !!! I had fun with that experience ahahaa Might be taking longer for yours maybe they have short supply of some parts... G'luck waiting ~
