I think the observation is true, but not just for gays, for everyone. Most people have a problem with getting old, and they shun those who remind them of what they'll eventually become. This could be extra true for the gay community, where it appears so much emphasis is placed on youth and looks.

Ladies help me learn what the 4 little details women notice about men? Iam talking about first impressions or on a new date. .
okay, i guess what i notice first about a guy and like: - taken care of his outward appearance, ie taken a shower, dressed up, combed his hair, cologne. it's nice to see that a guy has actually gone to some lengths to look nice for a date. - good sense of humor. - somewhat attractive (no i'm not shallow) but there has to be at least some physical chemistry, doesn't there? - hygiene, etc. also manners. i would be totally put off if a guy i was with for dinner started eating with his mouth open. i went on a date once with a guy that did. disgusting.
