Can someone else with aDiscover credit card try tosign into their accountonline? |
|
I have been trying to sign
into my Discover credit card
account all day. The site
comes up fine, but after I
enter my sign-in info and
click "submit," the site goes
nuts. Basically, it just
starts clicking and flashing.
I have restarted my computer,
and that did nothing. So, I
think it might be the site.
If you have a Discover card
account, what happens when you
try to sign in? |
 |
something must be wrong with
the site because i am also
having problems when i tried
to sign onn!!! |

What does Discover logo on thecard mean? |
|
I just received a preapproved
offer for a platinum card from
Direct Merchants Bank. But
instead of VISA or MC logo, it
has the Discover Network logo.
Does this mean it's the same
as the Discover card?????
I already have a VISA from
Direct Merchants Bank for
several years.
But what advantage would
"Discover Network" have over
MC or Visa???? Under
"advantages" is says no
liability for unauthorized use
and extended warranty and
purchase coverage.... that's
all. Nothing special at all.
So why should I get this
Discover logo instead of
MC???? I guess it would've
been useful had Costco
accepted Discover cards but
they switched to American
Express. |
 |
Yes, it is a "Discover Card".
Discover Card is generally
"cheaper" than MC and Visa to
merchants, but you won't
really see much difference
from your perspective on cost.
On the negative side, Discover
lags way behind in its network
reach (i.e. number of
merchants who accept the
card). I've had a Discover
Card once and it was when it
was the company card. Horribly
inconvenient.
Addendum: With all due
respect, I beg to differ on
the acceptability hit-rate. My
wife still has the Discover
Card. While Fortune 500 may be
accepting them, not everyone
is buying elevators from
Honeywell, planes from Boeing
and GM cars using the Discover
Card. Usually, it's at the
local stores - restaraunts,
boutiques and grocery stores
that - that will say "Sorry
sir, but we don't accept
Discover". While I agree that
acceptance levels have gone
way up, there is still a gap
between penetration rates of
Discover and other major
credit cards. Also, good luck
if you leave the country.
Discovery acceptance rates
outside the US can be very
low. |

How do I do paperlessstatements with Discover Card? |
|
DOes anybody have a discover
card? I want to do paperless
statements but can't seem to
be able to do it. I am an
environmentalist and don't
lilke to waste trees. I also
don't want anybody to take my
mail. |
 |
You can request this in
righting on your next
statement and allow them to
take the minimum payment out
of your account on the due
date and then at anytime you
can go on line and pay more if
you like. You can do this with
all your bills if you like my
wife and I have this with our
on line banking. |
