Do you really believe that2012 is the last year forhumans? |
|
When people think about their
future, they wonder what
achievements they will make in
years to come. However, not
many people are convinced that
their futures will live beyond
the year 2012. With many
current events and religious
prophecies made in the past,
the world is questioning if
our world is really coming to
an end.
The Mayan calendar is divided
into Seven Ages of Man. The
fourth epoch ended in August
1987. “Part of the 2012
mystique stems from the stars.
On the winter solstice in
2012, the sun will be aligned
with the center of the Milky
Way for the first time in
about 26,000 years. This means
that "whatever energy
typically streams to Earth
from the center of the Milky
Way will indeed be disrupted
on 12/21/12 at 11:11 p.m.
Universal Time," journalist
Lawrence Joseph writes.
However, Susan Milbrath, a
Maya archaeoastronomer, states
"we have no record or
knowledge that they would
think the world would come to
an end at that point."
According to the Catholic
religion, pope St. Malachi
predicted the names of each of
the 112 popes until the last
one. The 110th pope, John Paul
died in 2005. The pope also
said that when the 112th pope
is elected, the city of Rome
would be destroyed. Emphasis
on the 112th being mentioned
as the LAST pope, right now
the Catholic church is ruled
by its 111th pope. It was also
stated that when the 112th
pope was elected, the city of
Rome would be destroyed.
Another coincidence that leads
many to believe that doomsday
is just less then 5 years away
is the Battle of Armageddon,
which is Christian religious.
The battle of Armageddon is
known as the final battle
between God and the devil,
along with all of the people
on earth that the devil
tricked and inspired to go
against the Holy God. Wars are
said to take place in cities
such as Jerusalem and Israel
involving the rest of the
world. According to the
Jehovah Witnesses and some
other religions, God is said
to end this war against them
by striking them with
pestilence, floods,
hailstones, fire and sulphur.
There is already war taking
place in Israel, the Holy
land, Holy meaning peace.
Could violence in peaceful
land be another coincidence?
And in the Book of
Revelations, it was stated
that Rome was going to be
destroyed during the battle of
Armageddon. Surprisingly, the
Christians and Catholics, two
different religions, both
state that Rome would be
destroyed around 2012, which
the Mayans said would be our
last year to live.
Many more phenomena’s lead
to the predictions that 2012
is our last year on earth.
Honey bees are said to be one
of human’s main need for
survival, simply because they
pollinate many flowers. Honey
bees are mysteriously dying
off and their numbers are
greatly decreasing across 30
American states. Einstein, one
of the most well known
scientists, was an Atheist,
meaning he didn’t believe in
God. He mentioned before that
without honey bees, the human
race will not survive.
According to the bible, it was
also mentioned that without
the honey bees, humans can not
exist. So does this rapid
decrease in honey bees across
America, also known as Colony
Collapse Disorder, also
contribute to the question of
the world ending in 2012?
Experts say that if this
mysterious decline in honey
bees continues within another
year, many farms and honey
companies would go bankrupt,
causing even more chaos in
America.
So many different religions or
groups of people claim that
the world is already starting
to end. This confuses me,. and
of course I'm not agreeing
with it or disagreeing with
these rumors. But what if it
could be true, although people
claimed the world would end in
2000 and 6/6/06?

No.
One of several Mayan calendars
is the Long Count calendar,
which is reset to day 0 every
1,872,000 days or 7057.5
years. The next reset date, by
some calculations, is December
21, 2012. This is not a
prediction of the end of the
world.
These predictions are scare
tactics, conspiracy theories,
and chances to make money from
books and movies.
Ever since the Y2K and 6/6/6
(June 6, 2006) End of the
World scenarios did not pan
out, the scare mongers,
conspiracy theorists, book
sellers, and television
executives have been touting
the 2012 End of the World
scenario. When 2012 does not
happen either, I am sure they
will think of something else.
"But of that day or hour, no
one knows, neither the angels
in heaven, nor the Son, but
only the Father. Be watchful!
Be alert! You do not know when
the time will come." (Mark
13:32-33)
Jesus told us in no uncertain
terms that we were not to know
when the end of the world
would come but that we were
always to be ready.
The early Christian Church
thought that Jesus was going
to return at any moment. Only
after a couple of centuries
did the Church realize that it
may be 2,000 or 4,000 or 8,000
years before Jesus returns.
The Catholic Church wisely
follows Jesus' advice and
teaches that each of us should
live as if we will meet our
maker in the next ten minutes
and that we need to work to
make the world a better place
for our 100 X
great-grandchildren.
Do not worry about the end of
the world. Trust God to make
sure everything happens to
plan. Just be ready to meet
God at any time.

the end of the world, see:

Miami is the #1 road rage cityin America.... why? |
|
They say its because of the
old retired people mixed with
the young youthful partiers.
But could it be the mixed
culture? The mass of illegal
immigrants that don't have a
clue... that drive thru
lights... that jay-walk across
busy streets... that weave
their motorcycles between
lanes of traffic... that stop
in the middle of
intersections... that sell
everything from flowers to
newspapers on the corner of
every main street. |
 |
Climate, culture, age-ism, lax
enforcement, poor road design,
economic disparities (a lot of
very poor and a lot of very
rich), language barriers ...
it's hard to find a social
cause of road rage that ISN'T
present in Miami in abundance.
I found it interesting that
Washington, D.C was #3 ... I
would have wagered they would
rank higher. |

Have you been doing someunintelligent things just inthese past couple monthsexclusively? |
|
I was at the store and I
needed toothbrushes I knew a
few days before I went
shopping but when I was there
I didn't want the bag to be
too heavy and it never dawned
on me that a couple
toothbrushes don't weigh that
much and the thought of
toothbrushes never crossed my
mind.
I did an origami flower and
was coloring in the flower
with a red marker but it was
damaged and I did not get to
color it properly. A few days
later I looked over and
noticed my red dry erase
marker and couldn't figure out
why the thought to use that
red marker never crossed my
mind.
I want to know if this strange
phenomena is centered around
me or if people all across
America are experiencing
similar bouts of stupidity
just in these past couple of
months. Completely out of
character for them. Thank you. |
 |
I highly doubt it's a recent
phenomenon - or a phenomenon
at all. Everybody is absent
minded at times, especially if
they are tired, malnourished,
or under stress. It could also
be due to fluctuating hormones
or a withdrawal from
cigarettes, drugs, or
caffeine.
The best thing to do, from my
own personal experience, is to
relax, get a good night's
sleep, and eat well. I find
that regular exercise and
regularly taking multi
vitamins and dietary
supplements also helps me stay
clear headed. It could also be
dehydration, so make sure to
drink at least eight cups of
water a day - more if you are
overweight, working out, or in
very hot or very cold weather.
(On an unrelated note,
phenomena is the plural form
of phenomenon.) |
