Would you rather work at GAPkids or the Santa picturestand at the mall? |
|
I know everyones going to say
duhh gap! but there are pros
and cons to each place. For
gap I will get a decent amount
of hours and a decent
discount. For Santa, I will be
getting more hours and a
higher pay per hour.
Which would you choose? |
 |
Of course, the first
consideration is which job you
would find more fun to work
at. If you are with the Santa,
you have to be "on" every
moment. There will be no down
time, and you can never, ever
be in a grouchy mood. Not
everyone can pull that off,
but some people are naturals.
With Gap, you will move around
more, and you will have
different tasks. Sometime you
will be working with a
customer, but other times you
will be in the back storage
area, or straightening
inventory, or something else.
Only you can decide which job
is better for your
personality.
But if they are really equal
in your mind in terms of the
actual work, it comes down to
the value of the discount at
Gap. You will work more hours
at higher pay with Santa,
which obviously means you will
take home more money. So, the
question is whether you will
buy enough at Gap to make up
the difference. In my case, it
would be clear. My children
have outgrown Gap Kids, I
don't have any nieces or
nephews, and therefore I
couldn't use the discount. If
you have 4 children who need
new wardrobes, then that
discount could be gold. But if
not, then Santa might be the
way to go.
One more consideration: Would
you have any hope of staying
on after Christmas? The Gap
job might let you do that, but
Santa will be, ahh, "flying
back to the North Pole" after
December 24.
Bottom line: only you can
decide which job suits you the
best, and if there is a
significant difference in how
you would feel about going to
work each day, then take the
job that would make you
happier, regardless of the
money. But if it comes down to
money, decide how much the
discount is worth to you, and
you will have your answer.
I hope this helps you sort
things out. Good luck,
whatever you decide!! |

What size would I be in OldNavy's kids section, and GapKids as well? |
|
I'm 16, and wear a 14 regular
at abercrombie kids.In other
places, such as American
Eagle,Areopostale,and
Abercrombie and Fitch,I wear a
00. So,what would my size (for
pants) in Gap Kids and for
kids sizes in Old Navy be?
(I can't go to the store and
try them on,as there is no one
to drive me there, so , I'm
ordering online) |

What is starting pay for asales associate at Baby Gap,Gap Kids, Gap In California? |
|
I'm thinking of getting a part
time job at baby Gap, or even
the Lucky Brand Jeans store,
to supplement my income. I
just want to know if it's
worth it. I know what the
perks are, I worked for Banana
Republic and made $10/hr. Just
wondering if Baby Gap is at
least $9/hr. |
 |
$8.50. Times are tough. |
