With the economy in the statethat it is, would this be agood time to start my owndj/entertainment company? |

I'm a senior in college, and I
have the funds necessary to
purchase all the equipment. I
feel like people will be less
likely to be going out for
parties or renting out party
rooms. If this is the case, I
think if I'm able to offer a
cost that is profitable for me
as well as lower than my
competitors then I will
flourish. |

I would say that to open a
business when times are hard
is a good idea. If you can
make it by offering a better
service at a better price, you
will do well. When times get
better, you will do very well.
Just be sure that this is
really what you want to do and
do it better than anyone else.

Hunting gave them sport and
provided them with food.
They would be entertained by
jongleurs who recited poems
and stories. They were very
skilful at this sometimes
using the names and
characteristics of some of
their audience in the story.
They would listen to music or
play it themselves or sing.
Knights were there to fight.
that was their main reason for
existence.
They were sometimes unruly and
boisterous. However, the cult
of courtly love swept through
Europe and it tended to
civilise them.
If they could they played
board games in which the
ladies could join.
Or they sat around and drank
and boasted about how they had
beaten this fellow or that.
Not much different from the
way men behave today. |

things to work with! It can be
anywhere in colonial times,
just give me lots of things
they did for fun! |

They had work parties in order
to have fun and get the work
done. Examples:
A barn raising party. People
in the family would get
together or neighbors would
come over. Women would cook
food while men would build a
barn. After the work was done,
they sing, dance, eat, chat,
and enjoy one another.
A quilting bee. Women would
get together and quilt
together for fun.
Butchering time. When it was
time to butcher the ol' pig.
Families would get together or
neighbors would come over.
They kill and clean the pig
together. It was a lot of
work. Women had to cook all
day and used every ounce of
meat from the big.
Other than that, families
often sang, danced, and told
stories. |
