How can i get from melrose tohaverhill using publictransportation? |
|
not having a car leaves me
with a dilemma. I need to get
from melrose, ma to haverhill,
ma by only using public
transportation. And, for my
job, i need to arrive in
haverhill before 8am. Anyone
up for a challenge? |
 |
Wow. that's a tough one. I
hate to admit defeat. Looks
like you need to line up
private transportation. Make
sure you bring this up to your
HR dept. at work. When I lived
in CT, my HR people went out
of their way to line up
transportation for me.
Here's a couple of options.
(Plus Craigslist)
http://www.commute.com/ This
is MassRides, which links up
commuters for vanpools and
carpools.

How is the road test inHaverhill, MA to acquire mylicense? |
|
Hello!
I have a road test next
Wednesday in Haverhill, MA to
get my license.
I got my permit, all road
tests done, I think I have
everything down pat I am just
nervous when It comes to the
test. I always get nervous
during tests! How is
Haverhill, MA for a road test?
Also how can I ease myself
before the big road test?
Thanks. |
 |
The same lady usually is the
one to test everyone. She's
kind of bitchy, but remains
completely silent during the
whole test. Just take your
time, breathe, and you should
be fine.
If you haven't already,
practice driving around
Haverhill center (by the
library, city hall, RMV, etc.
Basically where your driver's
ed. teacher should have taken
you. If you went through Mr.
K's, they take you pretty much
where the test is. Practice
uphill parking w/ curb and w/o
and backing up 50 ft. They
shouldn't make you park into a
parking spot, but you do
parallel park and from there
back up 50 ft. Know your hand
signals. Always use blinkers.
I was nervous as hell too.
Especially since I had to do
it after a snow storm from the
previous night and a girl
before me failed. Overall, it
was easy. |

How exaclty does the HaverhillInstitute work? How long doesit take? Do you have to findyour own clients? |
|
Has anyone graduated from the
course and actually gotten
work? If so how does the pay
structure work? Does Haverhill
get a percentage? Are you self
employed or an employer of
Hverhill?? Is it lucrative
..well worth it? Can you make
a career out of this?? |
 |
It's a scam. They constantly
change the curriculum so you
can never graduate, you have
to stage five homes out of
your own pocket, and complete
the coursework within a
certain timeframe even when
you get no response from your
"instructor" and the
teleconference classes keep
getting cancelled due to lack
of interest. Costs over $1000
for all this.
The general rule is, any
person, place, or thing that
"guarantees" work but also
asks for money is about to
fleece you. Think about it:
for all their ads out there,
have you ever seen one that
advertises the staging SERVICE
(performed by all those people
who got their guaranteed
jobs)?
If home staging is something
you might be into, call some
real estate agents in your
city and see who THEY hire,
how it works, do they have
someone in-office who does it,
how often the homes they show
require staging, and so on.
What do THEY think of
Haverhill? If there are
outside companies that offer
the service, call them and ask
what they look for in a
candidate. Get a feel for the
industry from people who
actually work in it -- they'll
tell you everything for free.
"Distance learning," even when
it's totally legitimate, is
looked down upon in the
business world and you're far,
far better off attending night
school at college. Even if
Haverhill didn't scam you,
you'd still have to bear the
albatross of a sketchy
as-seen-on-TV correspondence
course as your education
rather than from a known and
accredited school. |
