I am hosting the shower, is itok to have it at the bridesmoms house?
I am hosting a bridal shower for my best friend from high school. She now lives in a different state. Is it ok to have it at the brides mother house. I know its not ok for the mother to actually host it. But is it ok if I'm hosting it?
It's my understanding that the whole "bride's family can't host the shower" rule is a little out-dated because these days, sisters of the bride are MOH, and it's typically the MOH who throws the shower. My sister and mom are hosting my shower (although, it's being held at a local restaurant), and I asked YA if this was considered rude. The consensus was no because my sister is my MOH, and if you only invite close friends and family, it doesn't look like you're asking for gifts. I say it would be fine to have it at the bride's mom's house. It'll save you money, too!

I have just watched re-run episode about "White House Brides". I beleive this episode was made after Jenna Bush got married. The show said that their were 26 other White House brides. I'm just wondering who you thought were some of the prettiest brides. THANKS!

I am in a wedding in May as a bridesmaid and some of the other girls bought there dress from House of Brides. I haven't heard any of them complain but I am leery about buying a wedding dress online.
