Is the clothing company LaRedoute going out of businessin America? |

I know they are a big company
in France, and here they are
partners with Chadwick's, etc,
but it says their website is
shutting down on December 16.
Are they going out of
business? |

I was surprised to see their
announcement that the web site
would be shutting down in mid
December. However, I have not
seen any press release from
the holding company. I called
customer service to ask what
to do with my LR credit card
and the lady said the company
was not shutting down. If they
were I would have received a
letter regarding the account;
but I haven't received
anything...maybe the company
will update their site... |

I can't get La Redoute to send
me the goods I ordered from
them. When I sent them a
cheque, they cashed it, so the
money has gone out of my
account.
That was months ago. I have
written to them, sent messages
by recorded delivery and
email. No response from them
at all.
Have any Yahoo! users had
similar problems with La
Redoute? I would like to know
what I have to do to get the
company to respond to my
messages. My local council
trading standards officer said
there is nothing he can do. He
told me to write to La
Redoute, and tell the company
I intend to take them to the
Small Claims Court. But that
would cost me money, and there
is no guarantee that I would
get it back.
I can't think of any way of
getting my money back. Could
anyone reading this help me
out?

I have never found them to be
too much of a problem. Their
deliveries are always slow and
their Customer Services do
take some time to respond to
queries but other than that, I
have found them ok.
I hope you get everything
sorted. It's very annoying.

I recently received the Fall
catalog. I went to the site
and it said the site was
temporarily unavailable. Call
Customer Service to place an
order @ 800-254-0590. |
