30? What is your take on how
far we have come black and
white? |
 |
Under 30 and appreciate the
compliment! My mother has
actually come pretty far...
she's an educator and she
became very close to her
principal, a black man who,
throughout their friendship,
shared his experiences. I only
wish every white person could
have the opportunity to
develop a relationship with a
black person that could, over
the years, become so candid
and enlightening. I also wish
that some black people could
see that there are white
people who are open to
listening to them, because too
many have felt silenced due to
their encounters with racist
whites. |

As Britain's rich see theirwealth grow in leaps andbounds are we risking adislocation in society? |
|
The extremely rich are getting
even richer according to the
World Wealth Report, widely
discussed in the newspapers
over the past few weeks.
The number of super-rich
increased by almost 9% last
year. |
 |
It is a burn out. The rich
will get richer till there is
nothing left to take. It could
lead to a global depression,
insurrection, war.
But unless things stabilize
most of that 9% will be dirt
poor in 2-3 decades. Just
think what happened in 1929..
things often go in circles. |

Why does technology incomputers and It slowlyprogress over time and not inleaps and bounds over theyears? |
|
What i mean is. If i buy the
"state of the art" today why
is it only briefly. Why does
technology evolve in a
progressive pattern. Could it
be that it is drawn out over
time on purpose by big
businesses? I know that part
of it is because of the cost
of the product and making it
easily affordable by the
average consumer. Is that all
there is to it? |
 |
I think you're taking a kind
of overly-focused view when
you say that technology
evolves in a progressive
pattern. A hundred or a
thousand years ago technology
definitely did NOT progress in
the same way it's doing now in
the laptop market.
Even now we still have
occasional huge leaps of
technology (wheel, internet),
but we also have an
environment that encourages
continual progress. And
success - computer developers
are improving this stuff as
fast as they can cash the
paychecks . |
