I'm a born and raised
Manhattanite and am gteting
curious about that sort of
thing.
My family has a pretty good
deal on our apartment. A
little under $2,000 a month
for a two-bedroomer. I share a
9x14 with my twin sister, my
parents have one slightly
bigger. Bathroom has adequate
space for sink/toilet/tub with
showerhead all squeezed in to
each other. We have a smallish
living room and a little
kitchen. It's downtown right
by the East river.
Went out this morning and got
a 20 ounce box of generic
raisin bran, three apples and
a quart of grape juice. Ten
bucks.
$10-15 for a movie ticket,
$15-$25 for a CD -$25 usually
is a two-CD set, though- about
a dollar for a candy bar,
$1.50-$2.00 for a water
bottle.
Please tell me where you live
-you can just say, "Rural
Utah," or something- and how
much you would pay for what I
listed.
Wal-Mart and similar stores
don't count. |

Manhattan is one of the most
expensive areas in the country
to live in. other cities will
charge 700 max for a nice
sized apt, $6 for a movie
ticket, and about roughly the
same for everything else.
Check out craiglist.org for
other cities so you can
compare housing. a 1000ft2
house in CT is 600K. the same
house in Charlotte is about
200K. and if you go into the
Midwest, it gets cheaper |
