Is Motel 6 a good hotel tospend the night at? Why or whynot? |

I am taking a trip to Grand
Rapids, Michigan next year and
I am considering spending the
night at a Motel 6. Although I
have never spent the night at
Motel 6 (that I am aware of),
I know they are known as being
a hotel that cost less than
$50 a night. I am on a budget
for this trip and I would like
to know if Motel 6 is a good
hotel to spend the night at or
not? |

Every time I've stayed at one
it's been OK. It's not
luxurious, just a basic room
and bath. Most have basic
cable, no PPV or fancy stuff.
But it's clean and
comfortable, which is all you
really need. |

Does anyone know if the Motel6 in Weatherford, TX isdescent? |

I have seen some really nice
even fancy motel 6's before
but I have also seen some
pretty shady ones. Anyone
familiar with Weatherford?

actually i think one of the
givaways is the motel number
within the motel 6 chain. low
number means pretty dumpy,
because it's one of the early
ones
i think if you look on the
motel 6 web site, they have
pics of each motel, that can
tell you as well
i actually like motel 6,
because they usually post
their rate on the sign, and
you can usually walk in and
get that rate.
that means if you're taking a
road trip, you can keep
driving until you're tired,
and you dont have to play rate
games when you're ready to
fall asleep
one thing i learned years ago
(i dont know if this is still
true) is to never, ever just
walk in to a (non motel 6)
motel, and walk up to the desk
and ask for a rate. call
first, even if you have to use
a pay phone across the street,
or your cell phone in their
parking lot |

Me and my friend plan on
staying at the Motel 6 on
Powell Blvd in Portland. It is
right next to a strip club
which really bothers me. The
Motel 6 is located at Powell
Blvd and 31st. Should I be
concerned that this motel is
located next to a strip club? |

Nah...I know the Hotel you are
talking about. There are TONS
of strip clubs here. Powell is
pretty busy and may be kind of
loud, but I wouldn't worry
about the Safari
Club...heck..you should stop
in and check it out! If you're
into micro brew beer, Hop
Works Urban Brewery is very
close, just down Powell
between 30th and 29th. |
