How do I make my veggies andfruit look pretty afterharvesting? |
|
I see pics on seed websites
like Burpees and Parkseed
where the veggies look so
glossy and attractive. My
produce from the garden or
store looks dirty and blah.
How do I get my produce to
look attractive for presents?
Is there a special cleaning
method? |
 |
For the seed packet
photographs, those veggies are
wiped down with oil or sprayed
with wax.
You can make a nicer
presentation by selecting the
best looking of the bunch,
washing off the dirt and then
buffing to a shine with a soft
rag. Before delivering them to
friends, give them a quick
squirt with a misting bottle
so they look "fresh picked
from the garden". |

How far apart do I plant theseknockout roses? |
|
I bought 6 of these type of
roses.

I am planting these in a line
as a hedgerow. The information
on the plants say they grow
2-3 feet wide. Since I want
them to be basically like a
fence (I don't want gaps
between the plants), I'm
unsure how far apart to plant
them. Is it better to plan for
2 feet or 3 feet? |
 |
Two feet for the hedge is
best. Spacing roses from 20
inches to 30 inches apart
produces the best results.
Wider spacing than 30 inches
make the plants stand out as
individuals and you lose the
mass effect a rose hedge
should present. Closer spacing
than 20 inches will crowd the
plants and restrict their
growth. |

Is it a good idea to buy myseeds from www.parkseed.com?Have you ever bought somethingfrom this site? |
|
My area doesn't have most of
the seeds that are on this
website, and this site gives a
lot of seeds too for one
packet. I am going to buy A
LOT of seeds from here in
January, so Is it a good idea?
Have you ever bought something
from this site? Oh, and I live
in Ontario, Canada. How much
would shipping and handeling
be for about 50 seed packets?
Thanks. |

anytime you need to know if a
website/catalog ordering place
is worth your time or not,
check there for whether folks
liked it or not.....
using the alphabet near the
bottom of the page, Park Seed
gets a green star, which is
GOOD.....I'd order from them
