crabs and some fish. Will
petco let me buy the stuff
with out my mom with me? Is
there a certain age you have
to be to buy fish and hermit
crabs with out your parents?
Will I have to Sign for the
stuff?
Im also going to buying 2
african dwarf frogs.

ive worked at a petco for
about 4 years, and as far as
it is stated in the petco
rules, you must be 18 to buy
any "companion" animal for any
purpose. I believe you can buy
crickets, fruit flies,
mealworms, etc without a
parent but anything else you
need to be 18 or be with
someone that is 18 or older.
If you find a petco that will
sell you african dwarf frogs,
or any other companion animal
without someone that is 18
they can get in a lot of
trouble. we have an agreement
with PETA that says we will
ensure that all animals go to
loving caring and responsible
pet owners and if they are
selling them to underage kids
a lot of those pets are going
to be neglected and abused. Of
course abuse and neglect
happens with people older than
18, but less so. |
