I've only heard a few things about this diet but it seems to focus on very small portions and very strict guidelines. I'm sure you would have to be very careful & disciplined to accomplish this eating plan.

There are several great books about diabetes. I don't think the Sonoma Diet book is one of them. Sonoma Diet?
Who is on the Sonoma Diet, do they like it, and has anyone drank beer with it instead of wine?
It sounds like a rehashing of a lot of older diets to me. From what I have read it, if you follow it closely you will eat less and loss weight. They say wine in moderation so a small amount of beer would probably fit into it as well. I don't know how much I would enjoy 4 ounces of beer every once in a while.
