Hello,
I am a seller at textbookX.com
I am really new to this
textbookX.com system and now,
I just got my username and
password for the FTP site and
I have no idea on how to use
them. (I used to do FTP
account with biblio but in
textbookX, it is not the same)
Here are my question (I am
sorry if my question seem
too-easy-why-you-don't-know
but I just don't get its
system!)
1. In the FTP directory, there
are 3 folders. 1. Inventory
2.Orders 3.Confirmation
I tried to upload my inv into
the Inventory folder but I
wait like 2 hours and it still
not appears in the website.
I wonder if I have put it in
the right folder???
2. Also, the how-to guide told
me that I need to set the file
name as 'time stamp'.
For example :
confirmation_20051225023000.cs
v (format as :
confirmation_years-month-day-h
our-minute-second)
I just wonder if the timing in
this time stamp is matter? I
mean if I set the file name as
confirmation_20051225023000.cs
v but I upload it on Dec 24,
will the system wait until Dec
25 2:30 am to read my file???
because I am international
seller and my time is not the
same as in US.
The reason why i need to use
the ftp account is because I
want to custom my own shipping
label (I use DHL)
and I found it is very big
issue to understand their ftp
system.

1) So long as you have been
granted an ftp account and all
processes are turned on, your
inventory should load within
an hour of being posted. If it
is not, there may be a problem
with the format of your
file--you may want to contact
your account manager, or check
your email for details on the
problem. Inventory files
should be placed in the main
"inventory" folder.
2) The timestamp is used only
for sorting multiple inventory
files, and they will process
even if the time stamp is in
the future. However, I would
suggest you use up-to-date
timestamps in your filenames.
3) You mention that you are an
international seller: please
note that at this time
TextbookX.com only
accommodates US-based sellers
selling the US version of
textbooks. If you post books
for sale which do not match
the ISBN you enter, you may be
violating the TextbookX.com
terms of service.
